Community Living Month is a province-wide initiative with a unifying message of inclusion for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Each year, Community Living Associations celebrate inclusion across the province in many ways including flag raising ceremonies and shinning the green and blue Community Living colors across the province.

Monthly Events
Flag Raising, Awards Ceremony & Celebration
Tuesday, May 5 | 4:15 pm - 6:00 pm
Our Annual Flag Raising Ceremony will be held at Town Hall (786 Dufferin Ave). All community members are invited to join us as we “kick-off” the month with local dignitaries. Attendees will then be invited to walk through James Street, decorated in the Community Living Colors, to The Glasstown Brewing Company where a small awards ceremony will take place recognizing inclusive businesses within our community, and accomplishments of persons supported by Community Living Wallaceburg.
Open House

We warmly invite you to join us for an open house at both our offices located at 939 & 1100 Dufferin Avenue to explor our archives, learn more about our inspiring history, and share your own stories.
Trivia Night
Wednesday, May 20 | 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
We’ve partnered with the Glasstown Brewing Company for an evening of trivia. Form a team and test your knowledge while enjoying some delicious food, craft brews, and a night out with your friends.
Pitching In & Picking Up
Thursday, May 21 | 10:00 am
We’ve partnered with the Downtown BIA of Wallaceburg to ‘Pitch In & Pick Up’ garbage throughout downtown Wallaceburg. Join in and help us beautify the heart of our town. A BBQ will follow.
Community Living Month Dance
Thursday, May 21 | 6:00 pm
Dance the night away as we celebrate the end of Community Living Month at The Wallaceburg Legion. Tickets will be available for just $20 per person. All members of the community are invited, with bar services and light refreshments available. Registration details will be available soon.
Monthly Initiatives
"Rock" Your Blue & Green
Show your support towards people with developmental disabilities dreaming, believing, overcoming and achieving, by “Rocking” your Blue & Green throughout the Month of May! Want to go the extra mile?! Why not decorate your home or business with a “dash” of Blue and Green! Send in photos of you showing your support so we can promote an inclusive community on our social media platforms throughout the month of May. Photos can be emailed to CCFD@getintocommunityliving.com.
Dream, Believe, Overcome & Achieve Buttons
Show your support towards people with developmental disabilities dreaming, believing, overcoming and achieving, by wearing our wristbands for the month of May! By wearing one, you will help support our Agency while promoting inclusivity in our community. Wristbands will be available by donation at participating local businesses, our main office at 1100 Dufferin Avenue, Wallaceburg, and at all of our events throughout the Month of May.
