Employee Testimonials

Working here at CLW has been incredibly rewarding. I’ve had the opportunity to support individuals experiencing homelessness, mental health challenges, and addictions which has strengthened my compassion, resilience and commitment to meeting the individual where they are at with empathy and respect.

As a Team lead, I see firsthand that with the right support, people can dream, believe and overcome any barrier.

My advice to someone new is to come with an open mind, ask questions and take your time to build rapport with the people you support and your coworkers. Strong relationships are the key to success and will help you become an effective and compassionate DSP.

~ Ashley, Direct Support Professional

~ Jane (AL), Direct Support Professional

It’s impossible not to feel anxiety or a little fear when starting a new job but working as a Direct Support Professional has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Step by step, my security and confidence have steadily increased, and I’ve been able to grow within the agency. I’ve also learned a great deal, not only about my role but also about the culture of this great country.

My advice for anyone considering joining the agency is to be prepared to become like family, because it’s impossible not to appreciate the people you support and work with you.

~ Alex (JR), Direct Support Professional
