On Friday, September 12, 2025, at Wallaceburg’s Kinsmen Park, Community Living Wallaceburg’s Wallaceburg Wolves Baseball Team will take on Team
Select Finishing in their end-of-season Aaron Van Dorsselaer Grand Slam. Despite interruptions from both heat and rain again this year, the Wolves showed up week after week with enthusiasm—enjoying the game, taking turns at bat, running the bases, building their skills, and sharing in the camaraderie. Courageously stepping up to face The Wolves in this season finale are employees and administration from Select Finishing.
In memory of her late husband Aaron, Rachel Van Dorsselaer will be throwing out the first pitch promptly at 5 pm, and CKXS morning show host Tanner will be commentating the game. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors Wallaceburg Sports Hall of Fame and Select Finishing, a free BBQ will follow. Dale Brown, Coordinator of HR at Select Finishing, shares: “Select Finishing continues to be strong supporters of the amazing work at Community Living Wallaceburg, and our team is excited to both participate in the Grand Slam and help host the BBQ.”
Allison Thain, Manager Support Operations at CLW and one of the team’s coaches, adds: “There’s nothing like the excitement when a Wolf rounds the bases after a big hit—it’s contagious. Whether you’re a player or a fan, everyone is part of the pack. Everyone is welcome!” The public is warmly invited to come out and “howl” for The Wolves and Team Select Finishing, and to enjoy fellowship at the BBQ.
