Cyclists will be ‘rolling into WAMBO’ this August for a slow-rolling, cruise through Wallaceburg, bringing people of all ages and abilities together over an evening of bicycles, beverages, socialization and discovery. Community Living Wallaceburg is proudly partnered with the Glasstown Brewing Company to offer this unique and memorable experience, once again this year.
“The 3Rivers Roll experience offers cyclists a chance to explore the historic districts of Wallaceburg at a parade-pace, an opportunity that paired well with WAMBO,” shared Andrew Dawson, Fund Development & Communications Specialist at Community Living Wallaceburg. “We were pleased to have the support of the WAMBO Committee. All of us believed bicycles would be a great addition alongside the antique cars, boats and motorcycles on display annually.” Over the years, 3Rivers Roll cyclists have shown off many unique bicycles from antiques to one-of-a-kind builds not seen every day.
The evening will begin and end on the patio of the Glasstown Brewing Company, with drinks and food available for purchase post-roll. Julie Grant, co-organizer of the event shared, “We’re working closely with their chef on a dinner special for bicyclists to enjoy, so be sure to come hungry! A portion of proceeds from sales will help support the purchase of a new, fully accessible van.”
The police-escorted bike ride will begin at 6 pm on Thursday, August 7th. This is a free event and Community Living Wallaceburg will be graciously accepting monetary donations to support the purchase of a new fully-accessible van, ensuring outings such as medical appointments, special programming, and community involvement are possible.
